July 22, 2025Gaza Is Starving: Let Us Unite, Organize, and Declare Our Rage

Statement by the Revolutionary Socialists
The Zionist enemy is waging an unprecedented war of starvation against the besieged Gaza Strip. Horrific scenes show children turned into skeletal bodies due to malnutrition and dehydration. People—both young and old—are falling dead from hunger in the streets, or being directly targeted by occupation airstrikes as they try to access aid from distribution centers operated by the American-Zionist alliance. The road to finding a morsel of food has become the road to death.
Words are powerless to describe what we witness daily of the starvation massacre happening in full view of the world. But we—the poor and the workers—know all too well what starvation means: a tragedy unknown to the overfed ruling class, which also starves us by dominating and seizing our resources and managing them for the benefit of a handful who thrive on our exploitation and theft. These thieves are partners of the Zionist enemy and its supporters in its genocidal war against the Palestinian people.
These ruling regimes will not come to the rescue of the starving in Gaza, and we do not place any hope in them. Their statements and timid condemnations are not even worth the ink they are written with. These are the same regimes that imprison those who stand in solidarity with Palestine. At the same time, their business elites profit from economic and commercial cooperation with the very enemy that starves and kills our people in occupied Palestine.
The aid that has piled up at the Rafah Crossing will not reach the starving in Gaza unless through popular pressure. In Egypt, this issue faces two main obstacles. The first is the regime’s security grip—dozens of solidarity activists are imprisoned by a regime that besieges and suppresses all genuine forms of support. This clownish regime tries to convince us of its support for Palestine with absurd scenes of state-orchestrated drumming and celebration beside the bodies of the starved.
The second obstacle, working in tandem with the security apparatus to dismantle solidarity and public anger toward what is happening in Palestine, is the regime’s media narrative claiming that allowing aid means opening the Rafah Crossing, which would supposedly lead to Palestinians entering Sinai and implementing the enemy’s plan of forced displacement.
But this lie can be easily refuted. The same regime that is now displacing our people from the Al-Mina neighborhood in Arish played the role of defender of the siege to help the enemy subdue the resistance, when it blocked the “Conscience of the World” convoy at the gates of Ismailia—a convoy that included activists from around the world who came to Egypt, Gaza’s neighbor, to pressure for lifting the siege. The regime attacked them with hired thugs, arrested some, and deported others. In the past, limited aid did enter Gaza without any forced displacement, contrary to what the regime now claims—until the enemy entirely blocked its entry starting last March.
The Revolutionary Socialists call on all political and labor forces, and on all those standing in solidarity in neighborhoods and workplaces, to declare their outrage over the shocking war of extermination and starvation targeting our people in Gaza. Let us dismantle all obstacles through our unity and organization to force the regime to comply with our demands and rescue our people in occupied Palestine. The enemy that starves Gaza today to break its resilience and resistance will continue its aggression relentlessly across the region. The watchdog of the capitalist system will never be satisfied.
Unite for Gaza.
All of Palestine belongs to the Palestinian people.
