“We Will Not Leave”… Long Live the Resilience of the Palestinian People

Statement by the Revolutionary Socialists

The ongoing popular uprising in the occupied lands of Jerusalem serves as a blistering response to those who delude themselves into thinking that the Palestinian cause is dead and that the normalization agreements pursued by Arab regimes from Bahrain to Morocco—literally from the ocean to the Gulf—have succeeded in quelling the Palestinian resistance.

The criminal Zionist project relentlessly seeks to swallow up Palestinian lands and homes. The latest example is what we are witnessing today in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem, where the occupation authorities are relocating settlers in place of eight Palestinian families in the neighborhood. This is not just forced eviction but the latest episode in the series of war crimes committed by the Zionist military. In response, the Palestinian people continue to confront the ongoing plunder by Zionist settlers, who are backed by a militaristic and oppressive apparatus that enjoys Arab normalization and international indifference.

The resilience of the Palestinians in the face of Zionist land and home theft is also a stand against the plans to crush the Palestinian cause, plans that the Zionist entity and its normalizing rulers thought were guaranteed to succeed. But now, these plans are being trampled under the feet of Palestinians in Jerusalem.

As usual, the media space is filled with calls for calm from Arab leaders. At the same time, on the ground, the treacherous Abbas authority does not hesitate to suppress any solidarity movements in West Bank cities after postponing legislative elections out of fear for its position from the resistance.

In Egypt, where the last word still belongs to the counter-revolution, the regime’s electronic committees have taken to social media platforms to accuse Palestinians of terrorism, repeating the false and ludicrous accusations of “selling their lands.” These accusers forget that the only one who sold land is the one who sold Tiran and Sanafir to Saudi Arabia, who allocated vast areas of land in Sinai and other Egyptian provinces to Gulf rulers, and who allowed Zionist aircraft to monitor and bomb targets inside Sinai in a “partnership to combat terrorism”… Who sold the land? Who violated the so-called sovereignty other than him?

The Revolutionary Socialists salute the struggle of our people in occupied Palestine and value their resilience. This resilience ignited the Egyptian people’s movement in the past, reaching its peak in the January Revolution. The Palestinians have always been a source of inspiration for revolutionaries in Egypt and the Arab countries, which is a primary reason for this continuous conspiracy against our people in Palestine.

Long live the struggle of the Palestinian people.
