November 14, 2018Gaza’s Message to Arab Rulers: Down with Your Submission

Statement by the Revolutionary Socialists
Gaza has become an undeniable symbol of pride, with the Palestinian people steadfast in their revolution. The Palestinian cause is rightfully described as the guiding light for all resistors and revolutionaries. Gaza, as always, has revived the spirit of resistance despite Arab rulers ‘ attempts to quash it by welcoming Netanyahu or visiting him in Tel Aviv or by declaring in international forums that the occupation is an ally and that we, as Arab people, must accept it and build warm bridges of peace with it.
Resistance fighters in Gaza confronted a Zionist infiltration carried out by a force from the occupation army two days ago inside the sector’s borders. This led to clashes involving Israeli warplanes, resulting in the deaths of seven Palestinians, including a leader of the Al-Qassam Brigades and an officer in the occupation army. In response, Palestinian factions launched hundreds of rockets and shells at the Zionist entity, which retaliated with extensive airstrikes targeting at least 150 sites in Gaza, including resistance facilities and Al-Aqsa TV, affiliated with Hamas.
Al-Qassam Brigades commander Noor Barakeh and his comrades did not surrender to the Zionist force that sought to kidnap or assassinate him. They exchanged fire, killing a Zionist officer, and pursued the defeated force to the sector’s borders, defying the path of surrender adopted by Arab regimes. The resistance did not hesitate to defend the land and respond to Zionist shelling with their own, raining rockets on the occupiers in the settlements and targeting a bus of soldiers, injuring several, thereby rejecting the path of submission that these Arab regimes are trying to impose on their peoples and the Palestinian resistance.
The Palestinian resistance and its supporters continue to forge a different path from Abu Mazen’s. The rockets fired from Gaza were supported by protests in the West Bank, as if all of Palestine, from east to west, is declaring that there is no other way but resistance and rejecting the American dictates accepted by the Palestinian Authority and its president, Abu Mazen. Appeals to the United Nations and despotic rulers of the world and their exploitative, oppressive regimes will be futile. The occupation can only be confronted through armed popular resistance, supported by widespread public backing, potentially leading to a widespread armed uprising throughout all Palestinian territories.
As always, the resistance exposes the proper role of Sisi, the architect of submission and normalization. As soon as the Zionist enemy announced that resistance rockets had hit a bus of occupation soldiers and alarmed settlers in Ashkelon, Eshkol, and Kissufim, even killing some and injuring others, causing Netanyahu to cut short his trip to France, Sisi’sSisi’s regime hurried to help save the path of submission agreed upon by Arab rulers, intervening to impose calm.
The Revolutionary Socialists, affirming that resistance is a right for all oppressed peoples, renew their call to the Egyptian people to reject the calls of Arab rulers, especially Sisi, for normalization with the Zionist entity and to denounce the shameful agreements made with the occupation, such as the Camp David Accords, the QIZ agreements, and gas supply contracts. They also call on political and revolutionary forces to stand behind the Palestinian people in support of their just cause and to organize the ranks of the Egyptian people by reviving boycott committees against the Zionist entity and supporting the resistance.
