The People of Sinai Are Paying the Price for the Regime’s Failed Policies

A ruthless force led by an unrestrained regime. Once again, the people of Sinai are bearing the cost of the regime’s failures and policies. After hospitals in the Canal cities were placed on high alert, the military continues its large-scale operations today under the pretext of fighting terrorism. Just as the people of Sinai have suffered from the regime’s policies for years, the military now moves into Sinai, bringing with it the threat of even more hardship for its residents.

The people of Sinai, accused by the regime of supporting terrorism and labeled by terrorist groups as collaborators with security forces, are paying a double price. With a military campaign being waged on land, sea, and air, the burden on the people of Sinai is unimaginable.

The Revolutionary Socialists Movement stands in complete solidarity with the people of Sinai against the oppression of the regime’s security forces and the crimes of terrorist groups. The movement holds the regime fully responsible for the suffering of Sinai’s residents and blames the authorities, who have resorted solely to overwhelming force, for the dire situation caused by their harsh policies in Sinai and across Egypt. The movement also warns that this operation could be used as an excuse to intensify political, repressive, and economic pressures on the people, all under the guise of fighting terrorism, as has been the pattern for more than four years.
